Mourinho offers Kaka for Maicon; Zidan drops quit hint

Mourinho offers Kaka for Maicon

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Jose Mourinho has offered Kaka to Inter in exchange for Douglas Maicon.

Real and Inter coaches Jose Mourinho and Leonardo have reportedly talked on the phone to discuss the possible swap deal.

There is no secret that the Portuguese boss would love to get reunited with Maicon and he even had a couple of offers for the Brazilian rejected last summer.

The Brazilian defender has been far from impressive this season and Inter chiefs are reportedly ready to cash in on him.

Real Madrid officials believe that sending Kaka the other way would convince Inter to let Maicon leave for Spain, so the deal could be close to fruition.

Kaka has failed to live up to the expectations at Santiago Bernabeu and with Mesut Ozil impressing last season, Real are prepared to sell the Brazilian playmaker.

Leonardo is a keen admirer of Kaka, having himself brought him to Italy as a talent scout for Milan.

However, Kaka’s ties with Inter rivals Milan could prove to be a stumbling block to the swap deal, while his €10 million a season wage would also be a problem.

Zidan drops quit hint

Borussia Dortmund forward Mohamed Zidan admits he is thinking of leaving the club in search for first team football.

The Egyptian forward has seen limited playing time last season and he is aware the arrival of Ivan Perisic has further damaged his chances of holding on to a starting place in Jurgen Klopp’s side.

“With Ivan Perisic Borrusia are now well established in attack,” Zidan told Bild.

“But, I definitely want to play more games than last season. If not in BVB, then, if necessary, just somewhere else…”

Seeing that he is one of key players in Egypt national team it is no wonder that there is a heavy interest in Zidan among Egyptian clubs, while Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal Riyadh are also keen.

The player himself admits he is waiting for a good offer before talking with Borussia chiefs.

“Only when there is a really interesting offer will I talk to Borussia. I could stay here but my contract expires in 2012 and I would then leave on a free. But, I do prefer to play.”

The Egyptian doesn’t hold the grudge against Borussia officials and says the club will always have a special place in his heart.

“No matter what happens, Dortmund are the best club in which I ever played. It will always have a place in my heart.”

Bayern chief expects to complete Boateng signing

Bayern Munich chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is confident Manchester City’s Jerome Boateng will arrive to Alianz Arena this summer.

Bayern have been hot on the trail of former HSV defender, who has had a disappointing first season at Manchester City, and the Bavarians are doing their best to bring him back to Germany.

The Germany international wasn’t able to hold on to a starting place in Roberto Mancini’s side and he has reportedly told the Italian manager that he wants to join the German giants.

Bayern chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge remains confident that the transfer will come to fruition.

“I believe that there is a chance that we will come to an agreement,” Rummenigge told Kicker.

“We will have to play a waiting game and this is not something which will be resolved in the next two or three days,” Rummenigge told Kicker.

For the time being, the main obstacle to the deal is City’s €20 million valuation of the player, with Bayern only prepared to offer around €13 million.

Following another disappointing season, the Bavarians are eager to reinforce the squad over the summer and they have already clinched the signings of Manuel Neuer, Rafinha and Nils Petersen.

On the other hand, Miroslav Klose is set to leave the club after rejecting a new contract offer.
