Mourinho set to be handed transfer war chest

Jose Mourinho is set to be handed £100m to strengthen his squad in January, according to the Mirror.

The Manchester United manager made just one major signing in the summer after shelling out £52m for Brazilian midfielder Fred, with Portugal U21 full-back Diogo Dalot and veteran goalkeeper Lee Grant the only other arrivals.

The Red Devils manager is on the lookout for a central defender and a goalscorer and will be backed to the tune of £100m once the transfer window reopens.

In ten league games, United have conceded seventeen goals – the fifth worst record in the division while their top goal scorers are Romelu Lukaku and Anthony Martial with just four each.

Sunday’s victory over Everton was just their second win in their last eight games in all competitions, while their title winning odds currently stand a massive 80/1 ahead of Saturday’s trip to in form Bournemouth.
