Mourinho to convince Ibrahimovic to stay at Inter

Inter coach Jose Mourinho insists he will convince Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic to remain at the club.

Ibrahimovic has been linked with several clubs both in Spain and Italy.

“I will convince Ibrahimovic to stay at Inter,” Mourinho told Sky Sport Italia.

“In 2003 I convinced Deco to remain at Porto, and I told him we would win the Champions League a year later.

“These things [suggetions of Ibrahimovic leaving] have come from the outside and they don’t revolve around the dressing room.

“Ibrahimovic is very motivated after Manchester, but I can understand his frustrations.

“I think he can win the top-scorer’s award if he uses the disappointment of European failure to spur him on.”
