“There have been more rumours of Jose Mourinho leaving Manchester United. It’s totally untrue. Jose is very happy at the club and the club is very happy with him. He has a long-term contract with Manchester United and is fully committed to the club in building a solid winning project”.
Those are the words of Jorge Mendes, the agent of United boss Mourinho. While there will naturally be some doubters who firmly believe that he will in fact leave Old Trafford, it’s worth noting that this is being said prior to a very busy transfer period – and potentially an even busier winter series of games in a variety of different competitions.
Mendes has his own problems with many different fans, clubs and media members questioning his every move, but when it comes to Jose, it seems like there must’ve been some kind of substance to the rumours if he felt the need to come out and make a statement.
