It’s only been a few weeks since Jose Mourinho took over from Mauricio Pochettino as the Tottenham Hotspur boss, but reports of players apparently wanted by the Portuguese in North London are already in full swing. It was reported a few days ago that the former Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan, Real Madrid and Manchester United boss is keen on adding Napoli centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly to his ranks amid fears of losing Toby Alderweireld or Jan Vertonghen next summer, and now Mirror claim he is interested in working with midfielder Marouane Fellaini again.
The Belgian, who has just turned 32, is currently plying his trade in China, playing for Shandong Luneng, but during the time he played under Mourinho at Old Trafford, he was one of his most-trusted lieutenants, whenever a need for physicality and aerial prowess was identified. But, Fellaini was one of the first player victims of Mourinho’s sacking almost a year ago, having no place in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s plans.
