Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho plans to sign Benfica midfielder Nemanja Matic soon after taking over the reigns at Chelsea, reports Daily Mirror.
It is now perfectly clear that the Special One is set to return to Stamford Bridge after he leaves Santiago Bernabeu in the summer, and it appears he is already thinking about summer reinforcements.
According to Daily Mirror, Mourinho is keen on luring Benfica star Nemanja Matic to Stamford Bridge.
The Serbian midfielder left the Blues as part of the deal taking David Luiz to London, but it looks as though he could again be sporting the Chelsea shirt.
Matic has become a key player for the Eagles since Javi Garcia left Estadio da Luz to join Manchester City and has seen his name linked with a number of high-profile sides.
Benfica officials are doing everything in their power to keep hold of their prized asset, but a big money offer from England would certainly be difficult to resist.
