Mourinho wants Witsel?

According to reports in Belgium, the reason for Jose Mourinho attending the Belgium vs Iceland game wasn’t purely because of Toby Alderweireld – with another Belgian star also catching his eye. The Manchester United manager has made no secret of the fact that he’s interested in bolstering the Red Devils’ squad either in January or the summer, and it turns out that one of the names located towards the top of his wish list is none other than Axel Witsel.

Witsel has been on a phenomenal run of form with Borussia Dortmund ever since making the switch over from China, as he finally appears to be embracing the top European leagues.

The 29 year old would likely fit nicely into the system at Old Trafford, but you have to question whether or not there’s a legitimate method to the madness with Mourinho or whether he’s just going out in search of big names.
