Mourinho would love to coach Rooney

(GSM) – Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho says he would love to coach Wayne Rooney. However, Mourinho has admitted it would be “impossible” to sign the player from Manchester United.

Mourinho has already expressed his admiration for Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard and Ashley Cole and has now revealed that he rates Rooney highly.

Still, the Portuguese tactician knows Real Madrid will not be signing Rooney this summer.

“I’ll say it is impossible,” Mourinho told AS. “I would like to coach Rooney but my friend Ferguson can rest easy – it is impossible.”
