Tottenham Hotspur have been doing a lot of work in the last two transfer windows. They brought a few players both in the summer and this winter and under Jose Mourinho it looks like they will only continue adding new signings. At least that is what we can learn from today’s transfer rumours.
According to the Daily Express, Spurs are preparing themselves to improve defensively and sign a defender or two. Their report suggests, Jose Mourinho has set his sights on Ruben Dias and Nathan Ake as he looks to strengthen the club’s defence.
Dias plays for Benfica and had been linked with Manchester United whilst Mourinho was their manager. Ake, on the other hand, used to play for Chelsea but is currently at Bournemouth. Considering the fact that Jan Vertonghen’s contract is set to expire in the summer, it is clear why Spurs are looking for reinforcements, whilst Ben Chilwell and Max Aarons from Leicester and Norwich are also being possible targets.
