Moutinho set to join Everton

Sporting Lisbon star Joao Moutinho is closing in on a move to Premier League side Everton, according to Setanta Sports News.

Everton tried to sign the Portugal international last summer but failed with their move.

The Toffees have only the transfer fee standing in the way of a deal that will see the 22-year-old move to Goodison Park.

“I am able to play in a foreign league and The Premier League is the best thing that could come,” he told Setanta Sports.

“I know several clubs are interested, but the coach of Everton wanted me last year.”

Reports suggest Sporting want around €14-15million for the highly rated playmaker.
