Moutinho to raise the spirits at Everton?

Following the completion of the sale of Andy Johnson to Fulham, Everton boss David Moyes will up his offer to £13 million to try to prize Joao Moutinho away from Sporting.

Moyes will be desperate for this deal to come of as he looks to bring some rare good news to the Goodison Park outfit this summer.

With rumours of financial difficulties, the Chief Executive moving on, the problems with the new ground and the lack of new players, all has been pretty bleak at Everton since the end of last season.

The arrival of the talented Portuguese international midfielder would certainly go sme way towards raising the spirits.
