Could Moyes’ former side Everton pip Man Utd to a top-6 finish?

Competition: Premier League
Market: Everton to finish in the top-6
Odds: 4/6 @ Betfair

With Manchester United manager David Moyes currently three points adrift of his former side Everton, there’s every chance the Merseyside outfit could finish the season in 6th place at the expense of United.

Betfair are giving odds of 4/6 for Roberto Martinez’s side to get one over Moyes by the time the Premier League has come to a close, and with 11 games remaining they certainly have every chance – especially when looking at each of their remaining fixtures.

Out of the 11 opponents Everton have left to face, they’ve lost to just one of them this season – Manchester City. They will face Manchester United with home advantage in the middle of April too, which will have added bite considering what’s at stake – with the Toffees having the chance of a league double for the first time in Premier League history.

Manchester United have lost to five of their remaining 11 opponents, which will give Everton great hope going into the business end of the campaign.

Should Everton achieve a top-6 finish come May, it will be riddled with irony as Moyes achieved a similar feat with the Toffees in his last season before moving to Old Trafford. But can they do it?
