Moyes to leave West Ham next summer?

According to the Daily Mail, manager David Moyes is set to leave West Ham when his contract expires at the end of the season. The outlet previously reported that the 60-year-old could stay at the club in a different role, in a “job upstairs”, as they referred to the possible change.

There was pressure on Moyes towards the end of last season, when the Hammers looked set for a desperate battle to stay in the Premier League. However, Moyes not only managed to lead his team to survival, but also to their first European trophy since 1965 by winning the Europa Conference League, and his job seemed safe again for a while.

But the results are apparently perceived as “slipping” again by a section of supporters, and there have been fresh calls for a managerial change, despite the fact that the team still sits in the top half of the table in the English top flight, while topping their group in the Europa League.
