Moyes to Southampton?

According to Sky Sports sources, David Moyes is interested in the possibility of becoming Southampton’s new manager. Moyes is known for formerly being in charge of Everton, Manchester United and West Ham United, but there has been no official contact between himself and the saints regarding a possible move.

Southampton will likely be aiming to get back to their former ways with their next appointment, in the sense that Mark Hughes didn’t really fit the bill of what a successful Saints boss would look like.

Moyes hasn’t really found much success since leaving Goodison Park, with many noting that he was unfairly treated during his time at Old Trafford in particular. Regardless of whether or not you buy into that theory, though, there’s no denying that his appointment would almost certainly split opinion amongst the general fanbase. If he finds success, then it could wind up being one of the biggest success stories of the last ten years – if he gets the job, that is.
