Thomas Mueller has told his Bayern Munich team-mates that they will have to learn to be patient to earn victories in the Bundesliga.
The team have been in sublime form this season, but struggled to get going in Sunday’s Bundesliga clash against Stuttgart.
Nevertheless, they eventually recorded a 2-0 victory after Mueller and Mario Mandzukic found the net in the second half.
“We have to get used to not always going up 3-0 before the interval. A game of football lasts longer than that and you have to be patient,” Mueller told the club’s official website.
“(Stuttgart) courageously defended high up the field in the first half and got at us early. We had a lot more of the ball and we spent more time in their half, but we lacked the last few percent and any big chances.
“But then we punished a mistake, and went on to add the second.”
Bayern sit at the summit of the Bundesliga table with 48 points from 19 games.
