Bayern Munich star Thomas Muller has revealed that he rejected an offer from Chelsea last summer.
The attacking midfielder largely impressed for Germany at the 2010 World Cup, winning the Golden Boot award as the top scorer of the competition.
The 22-year-old now admits that he received a lot of offers last summer, one of which was from Chelsea.
“After the World Cup I received several offers, including the one from Chelsea,” Muller told Bild.
“I felt honoured because that doesn’t happen every day. But, I thought it wouldn’t make sense to make a change so young.”
Muller insists that he is now happy at Bayern and doesn’t think the situation will change any time soon.
”I feel comfortable here. You could say I’m living Bayern. I see no reason to believe that this will change one day.”
