Bayern Munich coach Jupp Heynckes could be without forward Thomas Muller for Tuesday’s DFB Pokal match away against Bochum due to injury.
The 22-year-old picked up a hamstring problem in Bayern’s 3-0 Bundesliga win over Cologne last Friday and was forced to leave the pitch after 52 minutes of play due to the knock.
Muller did not participate in last weekend’s regular training sessions due to the hamstring injury, and head coach Heynckes has now confirmed that the Germany international could miss Tuesday’s match.
“We will make a decision about Thomas’ availability together with the doctor and the physio on Tuesday. We won’t take any risks, though,” Heynckes said.
