The agent of Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller has rejected speculations linking his client with a move to Barcelona.
Punto Pelota had earlier suggested that the Germany international had flown to Barcelona at the weekend to meet the Catalans officials, but it appears there is no truth in the rumours.
Muller’s official representative Ludwig Kogl has said in no uncertain terms that his client has not been negotiating with Barcelona.
“Thomas was definitely not in Barcelona on Sunday,” Kogl explained to Munchner Abendzeitung.
“There’s no truth in this. There have not been any talks with Barcelona and we have not negotiated with them.”
A product of Bayern Munich youth school, Thomas Muller exploded onto the biggest stage during the 2009/2010 season, when he scored 13 league goals before netting 5 times at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
He has since remained a key player for club and country, although his starting berth at Alianz Arena appears to be in danger after Toni Kroos recovered from injury and Thiago Alcantara arrived from Barcelona.
Muller has started 6 Bundesliga matches this term, but could only score one goal in the process.
