Udinese forward Luis Muriel appears set to finally become a Sampdoria player, L’Equipe has suggested.
The Blucerchiati were expected to close the deal several days ago, but the talks eventually fell through.
However, Sampdoria have now posted a video of Muriel undergoing a medical in Genoa on their official website, which is enough to suggest the transfer is back on.
L’Equipe has learned that the deal is worth around €10.5 million, and chances are it will be announced in the coming days.
Sampdoria boss Sinisa Mihajlovic has already told the media that he sees the Colombian as a perfect replacement for Manolo Gabbiadini, due to his ability to cover a number of positions in attack.
The Serie A high-flyers, priced at 7/4 to see off Parma later today, are also closing in on Everton forward Samuel Eto’o.
After enjoying a great start to his career in Italy, Luis Muriel, 23, has struggled for form at Udinese of late, and no doubt he will relish the opportunity to start from scratch at Marassi.
