Granada defender Jeison Murillo has moved to reveal that he has already agreed to join Inter Milan in the summer transfer window.
The Nerazzurri were linked with a late bid for the Colombian centre-back, but they failed to lure him to Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in the January window.
Nevertheless, it appears that they have agreed to sign the player ahead of the 2015/2016 season, with reports citing a €10 million transfer fee.
“I thank God for this opportunity to join Inter in the summer,” Murillo told Caracol Radio.
“The two clubs have reached an agreement, the idea is to finish the season with Granada and then go to Inter.
“For now, I’m committed to helping Granada meet their targets. Only after that will I think about Inter because I‘ll be fulfilling a dream.
“We all know about Ivan Ramiro (Cordoba’s impact) at Inter, I hope to assume the same responsibility and make a difference like he did.”
Jeison Murillo was snatched by Udinese from Deportivo Cali in 2010, but he was eventually sold to Granada without even making a single appearance for the Zebrette.
After impressing on loan spells with Cadiz and Las Palmas, the Colombian nailed down a regular starting berth at Granada, and went on to make 46 La Liga appearances.
The 22-year-old is now set to embark on a new chapter in his career, although he will first have to try and help his current club avoid relegation to Segunda.
