Villarreal centre-back Mateo Mucasshio is having his medical tests with AC Milan, the club Italian club has confirmed this morning.
The 26-year-old has been linked with a move to Rossoneri since last summer, but the Italian fallen giants were unable to fund the transfer until the Chinese takeover got completed so the Argentine defender is finally one step away from a reported €18 million deal.
Musacchio is thought to be looking at a four-year deal with AC Milan, worth €2.5 million per season.
In addition to Musacchio, Rossoneri are thought to be actively working on another signing. Namely, the Wolfsburg left-back Ricardo Rodriguez is also thought to be edging closer to a Milan move with the club sporting director Massimiliano Mirabelli set for a trip to Germany to close the deal.
The Wolves are facing a relegations play-off with Eintracht Braunschweiger, but the Swiss international is poised to leave the German side regardless of the outcome.
