Cesena forward Adrian Mutu could move to the MLS at the end of the season, according to Il Corriere di Romagna.
The veteran forward has just over a year left on his deal, but with Cesena set for relegation to Serie B, Mutu is expected to leave the club at the end of the season.
Il Corriere di Romagna claims that Montreal Impact have submitted a big-money offer to persuade the former Fiorentina player to move across the Atlantic.
The Canadian club are part of the Major League Soccer competition and they already boast players like Bernardo Corradi and Matteo Ferrari.
Mutu arrived to Cesena on a free transfer from Fiorentina in the summer, but he was unable to help il Cavallucci Marini survive in Serie A.
The 33-year-old has had a mixed success during his first season at Stadio Dino Manuzzi, scoring 7 goals in 24 Serie A games.
