Mutu makes Bucharest ultimatum

Cesena forward Adrian Mutu said he will only return to Dinamo Bucharest once they qualify for the Champions League.

The Romanian attacker is expected to leave the Serie A club at the end of the season, and the 33-year-old admits the possibility of going back to Dinamo – where he played during the 1999-2000 season – is something of an idyllic scenario.

“I dream about playing for Dinamo again,” he told Antena 1.

“It is very likely that I’ll rejoin the club in the next few years, maybe even this summer, but only if they win the league.

“However if they don’t play Champions League football next season, it is unlikely. That’s the only way I will be there next season.”

Mutu has scored eight goals in 25 Serie A appearances for Cesena this term since arriving from Fiorentina last year.
