Nabil Fekir set for huge pay rise

French media outlet Le Progres is reporting that Lyon hotshot Nabil Fekir is set to be rewarded with a lucrative new deal at Stade Gerland.

The 21-year-old exploded onto the big stage this season and has seen clubs like Arsenal, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain all cast admiring glances his way.

But, it appears as though Fekir is ready to stay with Lyon at least for another season and is expected to sign a new contract with les Gones in the coming weeks.

With the talented midfielder still on his first professional contract, he will see his current salary increased ten times as Lyon want to make him one of club’s highest-paid footballers.

This is probably the only way to keep hold of the player who has managed 11 goals and 7 assists in 24 Ligue 1 outings.

Fekir caused a lot of controversy recently as he decided to play for the French national team despite previously pledging to Algeria.
