NAC Breda ended a five-match losing streak with a hard-fought 3-2 win over ADO Den Haag in the Eredivisie.
The home side at Rat Verlegh Stadion got off to a dream start when Robbert Schilder put Breda ahead in the fourth minute.
But in a sign of their recent form, Breda conceded their lead in the 24th minute when Den Haag’s Wesley Verhoek scored, before the visitors took the lead when Hungarian defender took the final touch into his own net 10 minutes later.
Not to be denied, Breda hit back two minutes after the break when Schilder netted his second, and the game took a dramatic twist when Den Haag defender Christiaan Kum was shown a second yellow card.
It took Breda eight minutes to capitalise on their numerical advantage, and it was Csaba Feher who fired the winner home for the hosts as they broke their winning drought.
For fifth side Den Haag, it was their first league loss since succumbing to AZ Alkmaar at home in early December.
In other results, Heracles thrashed Vitesse Arnhem 6-1, Willem II came from behind twice to beat Heerenveen 4-3, and Roda JC were held to 1-1 draw at home against De Graafschap.
