(GSM) – Nagoya Grampus remain on course to win the Japanese J-League trophy following a 1-2 victory at relegation candidates Vissel Kobe.

Kobe’s Home Stadium was the setting for this encounter, which had been under way for just five minutes when striker Keiji Tamada put the visiting side in the lead.

Colombian Danilson Cordoba then made it 0-2 in the 30th minute and it looked like Nagoya were heading for yet another easy win.

Vissel did something back in the second half however as Brazilian midfielder Popo found the target for 1-2. But that goal wasn’t enough to threaten Nagoya’s lead.

Nagoya are now 11 points ahead of Kashima Antlers, with the latter still scheduled to face Yokohama F. Marinos on Sunday.
