AS Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan has been constantly linked with a move away from Giallorossi over the past twelve months, but the Belgian star once again reiterated his desire to remain in Rome.
With Luciano Spalletti heading to Inter Milan, the Italian media reported that the 29-year-old will follow the footsteps of his manager. Nainggolan, however, was quick to rebuff such claims.
“I want to stay at Roma, I’ve always said that”, Nainggolan was quoted by the Italian media Centro Suono Sport.
Hard-working midfielder has also been tipped to join Premier League champions Chelsea, but his intentions are quite clear as he heads for a well-earned holiday before returning to Roma for next season’s preparations.
Nainggolan made 35 Serie A appearances for Roma this season, adding 11 goals and 5 assists in the process.
He was one of the key men in AS Roma runners-up campaign in Italy, helping his team a great deal to secure the Champions League spot next season.
