La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that AS Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan has rejected another approach from Premier League giants Chelsea.
New manager Antonio Conte is a big fan of the Belgian footballer and he was determined to bring him to Stamford Bridge.
However, with the midfielder having decided to remain at Stadio Olimpico, there is little the former Italy boss can do now.
Namely, Conte was ready to shell out €40 million for Nainngolan, while offering the player a €5 million yearly wage, but the highly rated footballer rejected said proposal.
He has instead decided to pledge future to AS Roma and will soon sign a new deal until June 2020, which will see his salary increased from €3.2m to €4m per campaign.
Radja Naiggolan joined the Giallorossi from Cagliari in January 2014 and has since managed 13 goals and 11 assists in 108 competitive appearances for his current employers.
