Nancy happy at Columbus Crew but ´after that, we´ll see´

Wilfried Nancy is settled and happy at Columbus Crew, but acknowledges he may be tempted elsewhere in the future.

Nancy impressed at Montreal between 2021 and 2022, securing a third-place finish in the latter year with an unfancied side, before leading the Crew to an MLS Cup win in 2023.

He was named MLS Coach of the Year in 2024 and there has been reported interest in him from elsewhere, including from Ligue 1 clubs as well as the USA men’s national team, a job that was eventually taken by Mauricio Pochettino.

“Now, with my staff, everything for the moment works well,” he told GOAL. “I’m happy in Columbus, and after that, we’ll see. I come from Europe. Maybe, I can also come to, and coach, in Africa.”
