(GSM) – Manchester United winger Nani says Sir Alex Ferguson was unhappy with him following his red card against Aston Villa.

The former Sporting star was sent-off in the 1-1 draw with Villa after a vicious two-footed tackle on Stiliyan Petrov.

Nani now faces a three-game ban and will not feature in the Carling Cup final. It comes as a huge blow for the Portuguese winger after he had recently won back his place in Ferguson’s plans with a series of improved displays.

The 23-year-old has since apologised for possibly costing United three points at Villa Park. Nani also revealed that Ferguson was disappointed with him at half-time.

“After half-time, I spoke with the coach and he was unhappy with me,” Nani told The Sun.
