Nani has played down his comments about Sir Alex Ferguson. On Wednesday, the Manchester United winger revealed how tough life can be under the Scottish manager. Today, Nani said he has no problems with Ferguson.
“Ferguson is a very complicated man,” an outspoken Nani told Portugese newspaper ‘I’ on Wednesday. “He’s tough. If things are all right, then they are all right. But when he thinks something is wrong, everything is screwed.”
“He can go from complimenting you to just plain trashing you in a matter of minutes. Has it happened to me? Hell, yes! He’ll say ‘Nani, how could you miss this or this’?”
The Portugal winger has now sought to play down the row with Fergie.
“I often speak with the coach about my performance,” Nani told the Daily Mail. “I accept Ferguson’s decision but I want to have more minutes on the field.
“After Cristiano Ronaldo left, I wanted a bigger role, but the coach picks the team. Against Chelsea I wanted a chance but it didn’t come. You need to accept bad moments, I have no problem with the coach.”
