Nani linked with Fenerbahce return

Valencia winger Nani is being heavily linked with a return to Fenerbahce, according to Spanish media outlet Plaza Deportiva.

Despite showing some promise during the loan spell with Lazio, the 31-year-old is set to return to Valencia in the summer, but chances are he will not be staying at Mestalla for much longer.

According to reports, head coach Marcelino Garcia Toral no longer counts on Nani and los Che are eager to offload the Portugal international at the earliest opportunity.

Despite spending €8.5 million on his services some two years ago, Valencia would even consider terminating the player’s contract this summer to avoid paying his hefty wage for another year.

Meanwhile, Plaza Deportiva claims that Fenerbahce are ready to offer Nani a return to Turkish football, and the winger himself seems keen on moving back to Sukru Saracoglu Stadium, where he scored 8 goals in 28 league appearances for the Canaries.
