Eurosport is reporting that Nantes captain Filip Djordjevic has rejected an opportunity to move to English Premier League this winter.
The Serbia international has become one of Europe’s most sought-after player after impressing on the Canaries’ return to the top flight.
With his contract due to expire at the end of the campaign, a number of high-profile clubs have expressed interest in his services, but it appears the player is not interested in moving clubs in January.
Eurosport has suggested that he has already rejected an offer from an unnamed English club in favour of staying with Nantes until the end of the season.
However, chances are that he will be leaving the Ligue 1 side in the summer, with Lazio, Roma, Lille, Lyon and Saint Etienne some of the clubs currently in the race for his signature.
Djordjevic has scored 8 goals in 14 league matches this term to help Nantes climb to fifth in the Ligue 1 standings.
