Nantes show interest in Douglas

According to Sport.es, French club Nantes are interested in acquiring the services of Barcelona defender Douglas Pereira – also known as Douglas. The Brazilian star moved to the Nou Camp back in 2014, but he hasn’t really been able to force his way into the first team as he would’ve liked. The 27-year-old has instead spent the last few years playing for Sporting Gijon and Benfica, where he proved that he’s still capable of doing a job for a top European club.

Now, it seems as if a move to Ligue 1 could well be on the cards for him. Nantes, who finished 9th in France last season, are very interested in bringing him to the club in the next few weeks. Douglas has clearly been chomping at the bit to get an extended period of time in the first team wherever he goes, and it seems as if he’ll finally get his wish if this deal is confirmed.
