Napoli have made it perfectly clear that they have no intention of parting ways with Fabian Ruiz this summer amid links with Real Madrid, according to AS.
With their efforts over bringing in midfielders Paul Pogba and Christian Eriksen hitting multiple obstacles, the 13-time European champions were reportedly ready to turn their attentions to the Spanish U-21 international as they continue working on a squad reconstruction. Napoli, however, signed Ruiz last summer from Real Betis by activating his reported €30 million buyout clause, and have since then declared him “non-transferable”. His current contract doesn’t contain a buyout clause, making it practically impossible for Real to force the issue.
The Serie A side could be willing to consider selling some of their stars if substantial bids were made, but they feel it’s far too early to be letting Fabian go. However, the Spanish media outlet believe a bid of over €70 million could make them think about it.
