Napoli agree deal for Arkadiusz Milik

Serie A giants Napoli are set to wrap up the deal for Ajax forward Arkadiusz Milik, De Telegraaf can reveal.

The Azzurri decided to make a move on the Polish striker when they sold Gonzalo Higuain to Juventus, and they quickly managed to find an agreement with the Amsterdammers.

Despite making it clear that Milik would stay at least until the winter, Ajax couldn’t resist a €35 million bid and they gave the player the all clear to negotiate personal terms.

The highly rated footballer quickly agreed a five-year contract with the Serie A side, and he will now be tasked with replacing Gonzalo Higuain at Stadio San Paolo.

Arkadiusz Milik has enjoyed a brilliant season with Ajax last term, scoring 21 goals and producing 7 assists in 31 Eredivisie matches, before representing Poland at the Euro 2016 finals in France, where he registered one goal in five starts for the national team.
