Il Corriere dello Sport understands that Napoli have reached an agreement to sign Serbian defender Nikola Maksimovic from Torino.
The Azzurri are eager to keep their title bid on track and they plan to make a couple of quality signings in the current transfer window.
According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Napoli are on the verge of completing a deal for Torino’s Nikola Maksimovic.
The Azzurri will pay €2 million for a six-month loan, whereas the buy-out option will be set at €16 million.
Considering that Torino had valued their prized asset at €25 million, Napoli appear to have secured a good deal in the end.
Nikola Maksimovic has impressed playing for Granata and the fact that he can cover each position in the back four makes him quite appealing to Maurizio Sarri.
The Serbia international made a total of 52 Serie A appearances for Torino, but he has been out injured since August 2015.
