Napoli agree deal for Janmaat

Tuttosport is reporting that Napoli have agreed to sign Dutch defender Daryl Janmaat from Feyenoord.

The same source has suggested the Azzurri had a €6 million bid accepted for the highly rated full-back, but it is believed the transfer will only be made official after the 2014 World Cup.

Daryl Janmaat had one year left on his deal at De Kuip and he had already expressed his desire to leave Feyenoord for a big European club.

The 24-year-old is expected to challenge Camilo Zuniga for a starting berth at Stadio San Paolo and serve as a long-term replacement for the Colombian when he leaves the club.

Since joining Feyenoord from Heerenveen, Janmaat has developed into one of Europe’s top right-backs and he was linked with quite a few top clubs of late.

The talented footballer is expected to star for Netherlands at the 2014 World Cup, where Oranje are 33/1 to go all the way.
