Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport has suggested that Napoli are set to complete the signing of Benfica full-back Alex Grimaldo.
The Spanish defender has long been on the Azzurri radar and they decided to act after starting left-back Faouzi Ghoulam had picked up a serious injury.
According to reports, Napoli have had a €30 million proposal for the 22-year-old accepted by Benfica, with the deal set to be wrapped up in the coming days.
At the same time, Grimaldo has agreed a five-year deal with the Stadio San Paolo outfit worth €2 million per campaign.
This means that Benfica will make a hefty profit on the former Barcelona starlet having paid mere €1.5 million for his services two years ago.
