Napoli agree new contract with Victor Osimhen

Victor Osimhen has agreed in principle to sign a new contract with Napoli, according to 90min. The report has Chelsea are interested in signing the Nigeria international striker in the January transfer window.

Osimhen’s current contract with Napoli runs out in 2025. The new deal of the striker will see him stay at the defending Serie A champions until the summer of 2026. 90min has claimed that Napoli have agreed to insert a clause worth €120m (£112m) into Osimhen’s contract.

Napoli are sixth in the Serie A table at the moment with 24 points from 15 matches, a point behind fourth-placed AS Roma and 14 points behind leaders Inter Milan. Osimhen has scored six goals and given one assist in nine starts and two substitute appearances in Serie A so far this season. The 24-year-old Nigeria international striker has scored one goal in four UEFA Champions League matches for the Naples outfit this campaign.
