Italian giants Napoli and Juventus are locked in the battle for Benfica full-back Alex Grimaldo, according to Tuttosport.
The Azzurri see the Spaniard as a good replacement for Faouzi Ghoulam, who is set to miss the remainder of the season through injury.
Meanwhile, Juventus will make a move on Grimaldo if Alex Sandro leaves the club, but a high asking price could prove an obstacle to any deal.
Namely, latest reports suggest that Benfica want €40 million for the player who has a €60 million release clause in his contract.
Alex Grimaldo joined the Eagles in a cut-price deal from Barcelona some two years ago and has so far made 21 league appearances.
