Napoli and Paris Saint-Germain seem locked in the battle for the signature of Spanish goalkeeper Pepe Reina.
The experienced shot-stopper has another year left on his deal at Stadio San Paolo, and he was the subject of an official proposal from the Saints this summer.
Napoli swiftly rejected a €5 million bid for Reina this summer, but PSG could try and sign the player on a free transfer at the end of the season.
Meanwhile, the Azzurri plan to offer the 35-year-old a contract extension, and it remains to be seen whether they will be successful in their plans to keep hold of the Spaniard.
Reina was reportedly keen on joining PSG in the summer, but he is ready to consider any proposal from his current employers.
