Napoli and Valencia have started negotiations over Ferran Torres, according to Radio Valencia (via Marca).
The release clause in the winger’s contract reportedly stands at €100 million, but given that he’s about to enter the last 12 months of the deal, Valencia appear ready to listen to offers significantly lower than that with the aim of avoiding losing him for free next year. They’ve tried to get him to sign a new contract, but their efforts haven’t given the result they desired. His services are wanted across Europe, with clubs like Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Juventus, Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund credited with interest.
Apparently, Napoli have already put together a contract with personal terms they intend to offer to the 20-year-old Spaniard. They’ve therefore contacted Valencia to learn what price the La Liga side would be willing to accept to let him go. Torres is, of course, determined to choose his next club himself.
