Il Corriere dello Sport understands that Napoli have decided to make a move on Fiorentina striker Nikola Kalinic.
The Azzurri look set for a late attempt to recruit a replacement for Gonzalo Higuain and the Croatian forward appears to be top of their hit-list.
According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Napoli have started the bidding at €8 million, whereas Viola are holding out for €15 million.
The Azzurri currently have Manolo Gabbiadini and Arkadiusz Milik as the only options up front, with both players also capable of operating on the wing.
If Kalinic signs, he will be the only natural centre forward in the squad, and his record of 13 goals in 37 Serie A appearances is enough to suggest he could be a useful signing.
The 28-year-old scored the only goal for his side in the 2-1 defeat to Juventus last weekend, and that could very well prove to be his last ever game for Fiorentina.
