Serie A giants Napoli have submitted a big money offer for Juventus striker Simone Zaza, Il Corriere dello Sport has suggested.
The Azzurri have reportedly turned their attention to the Italy international as they search for a successor to his new teammate Gonzalo Higuain.
Napoli have reportedly started the bidding at €21 million, while Juventus are holding out for €25 million.
Until few days ago, Wolfsburg were believed to be the favourites to sign Simone Zaza, but they have dropped their interest after agreeing a deal for Mario Gomez.
Napoli chiefs were angry with their Juventus counterparts for their behaviour during the Gonzalo Higuain transfer saga, but they appear ready to put their differences aside in an attempt to wrap up the deal that could be beneficial for all three parties.
Despite having offers from abroad, Simone Zaza reportedly hopes to remain in Italy, and he is likely to be tempted by the prospect of joining the Azzurri.
