Things in Naples are getting even hotter than they previously were. After Carlo Ancelotti got sacked and Gennaro Gattuso was installed in his place of the head coach, several names were mentioned in conversation with Napoli. But it looks like we are getting much closer to seeing them sign their first player in 2020.
According to Calciomercato, Napoli officials are set to meet with the heads of Celta Vigo in London on Monday, as they will attempt to strike a deal for Stanislav Lobotka. It was previously reported that the Slovakia midfielder and Serie A club have already agreed on a deal between themselves. It is a deal until the summer of 2024, but the two clubs are yet to agree a fee.
Celta Vigo want somewhere in the region of 25 million euros for the 25-year-old. Napoli, on the other hand, are currently offering an initial fee of 18 million euros plus bonuses.
