Ever since he starred in for Napoli in their Scudetto-winning 2022/23 season, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has been an object of reported interest from top clubs around Europe. He was linked rather heavily with Paris Saint-Germain when Kylian Mbappe’s transfer to Real Madrid became a certainty earlier this year. More recently, it’s been said that newly appointed Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim wanted him at Old Trafford and that Liverpool were monitoring the situation closely as well, with Napoli open to selling unless an agreement could be reached over a new contract.
However, according to Corriere dello Sport, that agreement is now close, and the Georgian winger is set to reaffirm his commitment to the Serie A side until the summer of 2029. His wages will rise to reflect his status as one of the most important players at the club, along with various performance-related bonuses.
This season, the 23-year-old has scored five goals and produced three assists in 17 appearances for Napoli in all competitions.
