Italian giants Napoli are set to complete a deal to sign Guinean midfielder Amadou Diawara from Bologna, Il Corriere dello Sport can reveal.
The Azzurri have had an offer accepted by their league rivals and having also agreed personal terms with the youngster’s representatives, the 19-year-old is set to undergo a medical in Naples.
Diawara will then put pen to paper on a long-term deal at Stadio San Paolo, where he is expected to continue his development.
The highly rated midfielder largely impressed in his maiden Serie A campaign, making 34 appearances for Bologna.
At the same time, Napoli have raised their offer for Torino’s Nikola Maksimovic to €25 million, and they expect to wrap up the deal quickly with the player having expressed his desire to leave.
Dinamo Zagreb midfielder Marko Rog will also be moving to Stadio San Paolo, but he will first attempt to help his current side make it to the Champions League group phase.
