Italian giants Napoli have emerged as favourites to sign Serie A defenders Davide Astori and Sime Vrsaljko, according to Tuttosport.
The Azzurri aim to seriously reinforce the back line in the summer transfer window and they have all but agreed a deal to recruit the Cagliari centre-back.
Davide Astori is highly unlikely to remain with Isolani after they were relegated to Serie B and it is believed he will arrive at Stadio San Paolo in the coming days.
Napoli are also hot on the trail of Sassuolo full-back Sime Vrsaljko, the player they have followed for over a year now.
The Croatia international, who can operate on either flank, is eager to join the Azzurri this summer although Napoli still need to reach an agreement with their Serie A rivals.
Following the arrival of coach Maurizio Sarri from Empoli, the Azzurri went on to sign Pepe Reina, Mirko Valdifiori and Gabriel.
