Serie A side Napoli have contacted Tottenham Hotspur over the possibility of signing Alex Pritchard on a permanent deal during the summer transfer window.
The 23-year-old England winger has been wanted by two Premier League clubs and Newcastle United, who have also expressed interest in signing the England Under-21 starlet, but Sky Sports has learned that Partenopei have stepped up the chase to land Pritchard, who spent previous season on loan at Brentford.
Pritchard made 45 Championship appearances and managed to score 12 goals during that time.
England winger signed a four-year deal with White Hart Lane club last August, but has joined West Brom on loan last January making only two appearances due to an ankle injury he suffered early last season against Everton.
Alex Pritchard still has yet to play any meaningful first team football after injuring his ankle and Serie A giants Napoli are ready to offer the 23-year-old a lifeline.
